I joined Suffolk in July 2024 and have been impressed by the commitment, energy, and ambition across the county to improve outcomes for children and young people. This is a time of exciting change, with strong foundations now in place across education and skills, giving a unique opportunity to shape the future of learning and inclusion in Suffolk.
Over the past 18 months, we’ve stabilised services, strengthened performance, and built confidence across our schools and partnerships. With national reforms ahead and a refreshed improvement plan, the next phase requires a leader who can translate strategy into tangible outcomes, drive innovation, and maintain the pace of progress. This role offers the chance to influence education provision across schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and training providers, ensuring that every child and young person can thrive and reach their potential.
We’re looking for someone collaborative, resilient, and strategically astute, able to inspire confidence across a complex system and strengthen relationships with partners, practitioners, and communities. You’ll join a supportive, high-performing leadership team, seeing the direct impact of your work on children, young people, and families, while helping to shape the next chapter of Suffolk’s education and skills journey.
